My name is Tim Hickle, and I’m a builder of online communities. I’ve spent the past decade helping organizations build and grow their online influence, and I’ve never seen what we’re seeing.
Social networks are collapsing, discovery engines are changing, and rapid technological expansion is erasing barriers that fundamentally change the laws of physics online. The next 5 years of the Internet will define the following 20 years of the Internet. It feels like I’m back in the dial-up days. Everything is changing, nothing is inevitable, and we get the chance to build the future together.
This Substack is an exploration of this new frontier. I will share stories from the front lines of this transition so that you can find the healthiest balance between using the Internet and letting the Internet use you. I hope you’ll join me on this journey. I could use the company.
